Use 2272 remote instead of 2262 remote

hello guys,
I have a problem, recently my door remote broken and i have to buy new one. i need to know if i buy a remote with 2272 IC does it work on my door receiver? my broken remote was 2262.

The 2272 is the receiver, the 2262 is the transmitter. So, no, you can't replace a 2262 by a 2272. You always need a pair 2262/2272.
