OK,
If I understand you correctly we can interrupt the 120v going through the auxiliary block upon trigger from the wheel sensing circuit. Would you use a relay or a transistor to interrupt the 120v / de-energize the coil?

Excellent idea, thanks.

You posted this right after my last post. It's 0130hrs here and my eyes are getting very heavy. I'll go into detail tomorrow. ;)

I don't like doing this because it's bad forum decorum to post three times consecutively but I promised you I'd elaborate further after some sleep. Before we start talking about details I would very much like to see photos of the control panels of each of your motors. If you can extract the manufacturers and part numbers this may be advantageous too.

I would also like to see photos of the machines and overall operation. This is purely to satisfy my penchant for machinery. :)

Not a pulp mill, but a wood pellet mill. I run the dust grinding area... A one man show till something goes wrong. The real process comes after the silos where we make the dust into wood pellets. We make both heating and bbq. We make excellent bbq pellets, if I do say so myself! BBQ is our main interest. Heating pellets used to be our main business but we are well on our way in the process of converting the business into a primarily BBQ mill.

What would be cool: upon fault to kill all upstream equipment (skipping the hammer mill - > that should never stop) and leaving down stream equipment alone. But, that's a little too big for me right now. If I can turn off here two pieces successfully, I can replicate that method for the rest later... Though the triggering system would need to change, I suppose... Send it to some kind of Cascade...

As for the photos and the like, sure. I have a couple videos. Maybe I can put it up on YouTube... Though the only vids I have are documenting repairs.. Not what you are looking for. I can take one on Monday, then post. I do want to warn you, though... Low tech and messy :)

Photos can be attached to your posts here. As for messy.... I don't expect the operation to look like an office cubical. I like messy! It'll make me feel at home!!! Though none of my neighbors have never complained I suspect they grumble when I use my saw dust as fertilizer. :D

Thanks for the pix. Do you wear a respirator or is the material misted to hold down the dust? Anyway, where are you on this project? Do you have a schematic for that control panel?

Wow, you really have a lot of wood dust there!
I suggest your next project should be an automatic "fire sprinkling system"...
