GridSense is an edge microgrid controller that coordinates utility service, batteries, renewable generation, generators, and controllable loads. Its OptiFlow engine applies an editable strategy while equipment profiles enforce real and reactive power limits, ramp rates, state-of-charge boundaries, communications health, and safe source transfers.

This project demonstrates that the Microgrid controller solution, whilst usually implemented on IPC/PLC platforms, can be adequately and effectively implemented on embedded systems as well.
