Anyone know what kind cable tracer i can use , to follow one cable out of ten cables.
Using rg6,rg6q cables ,have 10 rg6,rg6q in a bundle some running 75 feet to 100 feet run.
Is there device to follow one of ten cable down the line to end of the cable run ,using some kind of tones device?

Place a signal on the cable and see which cable it is at the other end.

Can you disconnect all the cables?

Can disconnect all the the cable ,but that would not tell me which of 10 cables tie together in a bundle is the one that has short circuit in the bunch since all the RG6 cable are the same color and 100 foot long or if i want to put splitter in cable how do i find that one cable out of 10 cables.

If the cable is shorted then why can't you determine that with a multimeter?

Also can this device find one cable in bunch that has 10 cable in the bunch one of the cable has short circuit in the cable?

the cable has a SC in it ??

you didn't state that at the beginning and as a result you were given ideas for tracing a cable and identifying it in a bunch

the tracer I recommended wont work with a short in the cable

you require a TDR Time Domain Reflectometer to determine distance to the fault
