The troll will eventually get tired of going through the trouble to try
to get around filters and will leave. He (or she) will move on to annoy
people in another newsgroup.

They may come back after a while as they
cycle through their target list of groups. We had a very similar troll
in rec.photo.digital, and he got tired and left (may even be the same
person).
