I have an USB powered external laptop fan. How can I make them spin faster? I'm only using one of the fans. Will I get faster speed if I remove one of the fans? Thanks for your help. I don't have much knowledge in this, so go easy on me. :)

Welcom aboard this forum.

These fans seem to be connected in parallel. Removing one will not change the speed of the other. You will save some power only.
Making the fan spin faster will probably require a higher voltage than your USB port provides.

Higher voltage, basically... you could use PWM to vary the speed to suit your needs.

With PWm you can only reduce the speed, but never increase it above the max. speed without PWM.

B the way: if these fans use brushless motors, simply increasing the voltage may not work. On the contrary, it may damage the electronics.
