I have a cheap 12 v to 220v inverter that the fan doesn't come on anymore , though the fan works, I can wire the fan to the 12v input with a thermal switch, my question is what temp would i select as the cut in temp that won't damage the PCB ?

It's too small I can't read it..give me a link will ya
If you wish to have an in-depth explanation
Forced air cooling turn on fan temperature would depend on the specific power dissipation characteristics transistor operational temperature of your final power amplifier stage including the heat sinks.

Why not just wire it up to the input full time? The electronics will be nice and cool all the time.

I did in fact wire the fan to the battery input , however the battery voltage is variable because its on a solar PV , the fan is now overspeed and noisy, will this work on a 40mm pc fan ?

What is the maximum input voltage to the inverter from the solar PV?

Need to check it against the inverter specifications to ensure it is not above the 15v maximum limit.

The fan is probably 12 volts, run it through a 7812 or similar.
