how to record voice in mp3 format ?

hi
is there any IC Or code for Controlers to convert sounds to MP3 or MDI Streem Output?
how could record mp3 format by XMega?
which IC can Do this?
vs1003 can play mp3 but can not make mp3 output. it only make wave format for out put.
any one can help me please!?

Hello,
Not quite sure what you are trying to achieve.
This is a MP3 decoder with full audio interface HERE
You could always convert the .wav to mp3 with software converters.

The VS1063 is also an MP3 Encoder. It works fine for real time compression into MP3 format, along with several other formats. I recommend acquiring the evaluation board for the chip then start experimenting.
