Latching 4017 Output

What other ways are there to latch the outputs of 4017 decade counter until the cycle completes other than a bunch of diodes or with SCRs? TIA!

You could use a couple of latches.

I think the 74C373 would suit your needs.

Alternatively you might be able to do something with the 74HC595.

Both of the above are limited to 8 outputs. If you need more you would need to use multiple chips.

Output of 555 to Clock/Latching Control? Also, what would the "Blanking Control" be?

I will be implementing sequential turn signals into my LED project. Just wanted to avoid clutter on the board of the SCR's or diodes. Plus the 74C373 you linked me to less expensive than 4017 + SCRs.

That is the schematic I was going do but would now like to use your suggestion of the 74C373. What do you think?
