LTSpice simulation with laser source and APD

Hi, I need technical support. I would like to build an APD circuit to measure quantum efficiency, dark current and after pules. Thus, I want to draw a schematic diagram which includes laser sources, sinusoidal gate generator, APD and other components. Is it possible to simulate a full experimental setup for that using LTSpice? If so, how can I get a demo circuit?

It should be possible if you can get/make reliable Spice models of all the components. This article may be of help for modelling a laser diode.
