I got this camcorder at a Salvation Army recently and have no way of powering it. After doing research, batteries for the thing are like $40!! But luckily you can power the camera using a port on the back of the camera (as seen in the picture). Unfortunately, the cord is no where to be found, but I was thinking maybe I could still power it if I made a cord somehow.

Is it possible that I make a power cord for this port?

How do you know it is a power inlet?
If you have any details on the unit it would help to put them here.

That is rather probably not a power port. Too many pins. What's the type or model of the unit? This may help in finding better info.
Edit: I'm obviously wrong, see 73's de Edd'S following post.

Sir mdelzell. . . . . . .

That IS the proper power input receptacle . . .you just have to realize that the power adapter / supply that it connects to also needs multiple other interconnects for audio and video inputs , as well as there also being a CH3/4 modulator and a battery holder sled contained within this PS unit.

The units power supply . . . . its a look a lik a dis:

Disregard this units branding as it is used for at least three other brands that ALL sleep in the same bed . . . Its being a Matsushita . . .aka . .Panasonic . . .aka . . Maggot-box . . .aka . . . Quasar.
