Motorcycle alarm kit ~ battery drain

Hi,

So I'm not really sure where to put this, I recently bought a cheap alarm kit for my motorcycle but there seems to be an issue with battery drain leaving the battery dead and the alarm in a useless state (somebody recently tried to steal the bike, no alarm at all)

I was wondering if there's anything I could do to stop the battery drain by adding something to the circuit or modding the kit itself.

There is no specification to indicate current consumption. If you have an ammeter (test meter) you could measure the standby current to determine if there is a fault with the device itself.
