Old dvd home theatre SONY sr4w , optical input is Dolby digital 5.1?

Hello Friends
i am planning to buy and old DVD home theatre HCD-SR4W or DAV-SR4W , it has a digital IN Optical connection
my question is can i connect to my new android tv which has optical out and support Dolby digital , and Dolby digital plus output
and get surround sound 5.1 ? the system can support an Optical IN Dolby audio 5.1 ?
the optical IN port on the system can receive and decode dolby digital 5.1?
and how to check this system for faults before purchasing ?
all i found is this on the manual from DVA-Sr4w (attaching picture)

The specs say it can decode Dolbly Prologic II, which should give you 5.1 surround sound.

You would need an optical sound source to check out the system before you buy.

My optical sound source is andoird TV , which can output Dolby digtial , and dolby digital plus both
my main concern is this system can decode dolby digital 5.1 discreet channels , or it will just give me Prologic generated

It give you 5.1, my main interest in mostly , it can also detect DTS signal and perform much better
