Anyone can suggest a very precise and constant 5V reference? I Google and see many are recommend LT1085 and LM317? Which one is better? Any better recommendation?

Define precise (over input voltage, time, load, and temperature?) Is noise a consideration?

The LM317 isn't a precision regulator.

Do you really want a 5V reference, or a 5V supply? (i.e. what current are you needing)?

I want to have a constant 5V source in my circuit. Like I supply 12 V, then I will get a very precise 5V voltage. Precise in term of the 5V will as constant as possible no matter how is the load and the fluctuation of the input voltage.

OK, sounds like you simply need a regulator.

Google 7805

You have yet to define what limits you have.

From your explanation it sounds like all you need is a 5V regulator.

If it's any more complex we need details.

"As constant as possible" is NOT sufficient (it is pretty meaningless)

Have a look at the datasheet for the 7805 and tell us if there are any of its specs that fall outside your required parameters, and by how much.
