Hi first post here.
I have lots of Philips Hue lights working really well in the house, they are controlled from the Hue app, timers, and a number of Hue tap switches. I'd really like to be able to control the outside flood lights with the app and switches aswell. I had thought about trying to use a Raspberry Pi to sense when buttons were pressed on the switches, but a few searches and this seems very tricky. So I though about cutting open a Hue bulb, disconnecting the LEDs and connecting in a relay to switch the 230V floodlights. The bulb should still be recognised by the Hue system. Does anyone have any pointers or reasons why this might not work.
